End of an Era

As the end of the year approaches, I want to share some news with you and let you know how the blog is changing.

Many of you already know that Theo and I are separated and have decided that our path forward will be on different tracks. For many reasons, we have grown apart. We did not arrive at this decision quickly and we are working together to make the transition as seamless as possible. I plan to stay in France and Theo has relocated to our lovely home in Denia, Spain.

We ask for your kind understanding and please know that it is a mature parting of ways, we still care for each other’s safety and happiness, but no longer want to live together. We had 20 great years together, and we have no regrets, but sometimes good things do end.

Sooo, the blog will be about me, Me, and ME from now on…not that it hasn’t been that way from the beginning. 😜 If you like, please hop on board with my new journey to rediscover life at 62—it may not be the wildest ride, but I promise to dig deep and share my discoveries along the way.

I am working on renaming and rebranding the site, but until my term ends, you can still find me at theoandcindy.com. Thank you for your good wishes.

Thanks Anina. Sometimes life takes unchartered turns. But know that you’re always welcome here in southwest France in my little paradise!

Sorry about you and Theo but glad it wasn’t messy. So safe travels on your new journey and your next adventure. Our next step in life is to move to Indiana to be near the grandkids sometime this year. So pretty out there. Now if we could convince the youngest to more to there also but he is happy with his job and his life here. He has fought cancer twice and won both times but it will be hard to move that far away. So new adventures for everyone this year. Take care of yourself and be very happy.

Hi Rhonda, I was wondering how long you could live without those little ones! Congrats to you. Life is a journey, that’s for sure. I’m very content and excited about my future. Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season! Cindy

Yes, let’s stay in touch. My plan to continue to live at Le Coudeau, so I’ll look forward to another visit from you and Bruce! Take care and happy holidays! Cindy

Sounds like you two have this all figured out and know what each of you want so that’s a good thing. Relationships are hard enough even when you are on good terms with one another and having the courage to say, it’s not working any more, well that just shows that you two really understand what it takes to continue on and when it’s time to say good-bye and part ways. Looking forward to the next “All About Me” blog and will coninue to enjoy seeing and hearing what you are up to. Take care, enjoy France, Merry Christmas.

  5. Stewart Smith says:

Sorry for the change. We wish you all the best in your new life. We have great memories of our times together. Look forward to following both your new adventures.

    Chère Cindy-

I love to follow your blog, so keep it coming. I hope your transition to the next era is seamless. I’m hearing some Helen Reddy in my head about now.

    Cheers to new beginnings!

I am so sad to hear that you and Theo will not be pursuing your “great adventure” together any more. I have so enjoyed reading about all you have been doing. It has been a great chapter in your life. No dissolution is completely stress free, but I feel both of your DO wish each other the best. Since I can no longer travel much, I really look forward to your posts. I also have missed you being closer by. But I am looking forward to hearing more of Cindy’s great adventure and living somewhat vicariously through them. Sending you much love on your continuing journey – keep those posts coming!!
