Just a little stroll…

Theo had his first dental appointment yesterday. There are no hygienists in France, and instead the dentist does cleanings.

While he was in the office, I took the opportunity to take a crisp morning walk around the little town that’s just 3 km down the road towards Bergerac. I made a little slideshow if you need a little ‘ahhh’ moment…

My dear Cindy, it is now for the first time that I give some remarks to all your publications concerning your stay in France. I highly appreciate all your reports, your ideas, your wonderful photos – all you tell and learn us. It is a great fun for me to read and see all this. It remembers me my stay for two years, about 45 years ago, in the South of France, in the Region of Avignon/Carpentras. It makes me happy to see an American Lady who is so full of admiration for all these wonderful things France and Europe can give to the world. All my best wishes for your future in this Country.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Dagmar. It’s so nice to get some feedback and know someone out there is enjoying the posts. We are having the time of our lives and laugh at all our lessons along the way! Living in Europe is changing me in the most fundamental and wonderful ways!!! Best to you, too.

Keep all of these fabulous pictures and adventures coming Cindy, Steve and I are REALLY enjoying them! We hope to do the same thing as soon as possible and are planning a 3 week trip the summer of 2017 when our son graduates from high school. We are just in the planning stages and have tagged Wick Scotland, Iceland ( a 2 day stop over Alaska Airlines is now offering) and Denmark as a few stops and then Italy but not sure where. There’s just way too many places we want to go to!

Take Care and so glad you are doing so well!

Great, Marsha. You can never do too much research. Just start soul-searching on what type of atmosphere you want in retirement and plan those trips! There is so much to see in the world. And looking for that perfect place is half the fun! So nice to hear from you and am so happy you’re enjoying the posts.

    Hi Cindy,
Your photos are just breaking my heart that we are not able to visit this month as planned. What a serene and idyllic location! I can almost smell the atmosphere.
Love to you both, and the babies, too!

If it’s any consolation, we had an early frost two days ago. Theo was freaking out, but the geese have been flying south early this year, so it’ll probably be a longer winter. But just as I say that, we sat outside for my French tutoring lesson from 2:30 to 4:00 this afternoon! Crazy warm and sunny.

So sorry you guys can’t make it this month, but it’ll still be great when you DO come. And hopefully we’ll be in the ‘new’ house by then. We may be in camping chairs, but we’re looking forward to it!

Bisous for both of you and to the anymules too…!!!

Hi Theo & Cindy, your pictures are beautiful and I love love love the house. You guys seem to be really happy with the move. Can’t wait to see what you do with the house – although it doesn’t look like it needs much. Except for Cindy’s new kitchen:-
    Looking forward to your updates.

Thanks for checking in, JoAnn. I’m planning to start a different ‘page’ on the blog to just cover the remodel and my design process. Then you can weigh in on my sanity of doing all that I want to do AND my mental health along the way…heehee!!!

Locals that know the house think we’re moving right in, as it isn’t that bad. A little cleaning and maybe one bathroom remodel and it’s very useable by most standards. But they’re not me. It promises to be a great little place for us when we’re done. Stay tuned. And stay in touch.
