Took time out to visit the gardens at Marqueyssac this weekend. About 40 minutes from the house.

Gardens by the chateau. Overall, the gardens contain over 150,000 hand-trimmed boxwoods.

The private estate dates from the 17th century and the gardens, designed for walking, overlook the whole Dordogne valley.

      You and Gil must come for a visit. It’s absolutely magical! And there are fabulous lock-up-and-leave properties in the high €100,000’s if you’re looking for a getaway!!!
